Our Mission
We desire to see our friends and neighbors transformed by the power of the Gospel, demonstrated by lives yielded to the Holy Spirit.
Who We Are
Living Hope Ministries (LHM) was started in 1993 in order to bring the “living hope” of Jesus Christ to the people of Northeast Minneapolis.
LHM serves in Northeast Minneapolis and focuses especially on an area of one square mile which we have coined “the Miracle Mile.”
This is a wonderfully diverse area, and an estimated 20,000 people within a mile radius of our building, 5,000 of which are under the age of 18. Financial poverty, relational poverty, and spiritual poverty are prevalent in our community, but the living hope of Jesus Christ is making an impact.
Our Goals
To operate in such a way that God is exalted in our personal and corporate lives.
To use our God-given gifts to serve our community for the betterment of the Kingdom of God.
To effectively utilize that which God entrusts to us as wise stewards.
To intentionally reveal to our friends and neighbors the gospel of Jesus Christ
To faithfully develop followers of Jesus Christ.
"The Miracle Mile" - Our Target Area
We are committed to living out this mission within an area of Northeast Minneapolis of about one square mile which we have coined “The Miracle Mile.” There is an estimated 20,000 people living within a mile radius of our current facility, and roughly 5,000 of them are age 18 and under. Many live below the poverty line, and many are in relational, educational, or spiritual poverty. In this context, we present the living hope of Jesus Christ.
Our target zone is bordered by Lowry Ave to the north, Broadway to the south,
Central to the east, and University to the west. Years after this target zone was established, God placed us in the middle of it, on the corner of Adams Street and 18th Avenue.
